Job description:

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with software developers and IT staff to oversee code releases and deployments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in our DevOps infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain scalable and efficient cloud infrastructure, ensuring robustness and security.
  • Drive automation of processes to ensure efficiency, error reduction, and a faster deployment cycle.
  • Optimize existing systems for scalability and build new systems for emerging projects.
  • Maintain a constant focus on security best practices, implementing security measures through the development process.
  • Proactively informs management, Customer Service, Load Planners, and Fleet Management of all load and/or driver issues; includes a proactive review of pre-plans for deliveries.
  • Document and manage change requests, and track system performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as warehouse, administration, and sales, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in continuous learning and training to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
  • Be fully and completely accessible during work hours. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix administration.
  • Experience in network, server, and application-status monitoring.
  • Highly skilled in cloud computing, with proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in Git and Git workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Perl for automation.
  • Understanding of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix) and application performance monitoring (APM) tools (e.g., New Relic, AppDynamics).
  • Familiarity with database administration, both SQL (like MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (like MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
  • Awareness of security best practices in development and operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to staying current with industry trends and continuously improving technical skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Solid experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation.
  • Experience in monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and logging systems (ELK Stack) & K8s mesh metric tools (Istio, etc).

  • Full Time / TBD

Job Details, Location & Work Hours:

  • On-Site / 9 am ~ 5 pm (Mon ~ Fri)
  • Collaboration with IT teams and various departments is essential
  • Occasional on-call duties may be required to address urgent system issues
