Job description:

  • CompuZign Consulting Inc., a leader in innovative technology solutions, is looking for a dedicated IT Network Administrator to strengthen our dynamic team. This key role focuses on the development, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability essential for our business operations and client services.
  • As an IT Network Administrator at CompuZign, you will handle a variety of crucial tasks, ranging from network design to security management, and contribute significantly to maintaining and enhancing our network systems. This role demands a blend of technical skills, innovative thinking, and a proactive approach to handling IT network challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes, maintains, and administers network infrastructures and systems; implements network hardware/software configurations including wireless equipment, hubs, switches, routers, and cabling.
  • Monitors network and server traffic, performance, and security using a variety of evaluation tools; analyzes traffic patterns; checks network logs to detect intruders; writes scripts to support network monitoring and network administration tasks.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware, and peripherals for the intelligent transportation system.
  • Researches and responds to customer complaints regarding network functionality; investigates, analyzes, and resolves a wide variety of network-related problems; troubleshoots network failures and telecommunication problems and re-establishes connectivity to ensure business continuity.
  • Prepares technical documentation and procedural manuals including documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.
  • Regularly evaluate our IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands.
  • Support day-to-day operations of networked systems and guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions.
  • Conduct regular system audits.
  • Run and share regular operation system reports with senior staff.
  • Manage and oversee the network infrastructure within the organization, including hardware and software support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience designing and leading the implementation of large-scale networking projects and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor network and server traffic, performance, and security using a variety of evaluation tools; analyze traffic patterns; check network logs to detect intruders; write scripts to support network monitoring and network administration tasks.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware, and peripherals for the intelligent transportation system.
  • Research and respond to customer complaints regarding network functionality; investigate, analyze, and resolve a wide variety of network-related problems; troubleshoot network failures and telecommunication problems and re-establishes connectivity to ensure business continuity.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, SNMP, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, IPSec.
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Network+) are highly advantageous

Skills & Abilities:

  • In-depth understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Strong experience in network security practices and technologies.
  • Ability to multitask and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team collaboration and documentation.

Job Type & Salary:

  • Full Time / Salary TBD

Job Details, Location & Work Hours:

  • On-Site / 9 am to 5 pm (Mon to Fri)
  • Collaboration with IT teams and various departments is essential.
  • Occasional on-call duties may be required for urgent network issues.
